WINTERSET RANCH HOUSE
Home on the range...
Winterset Ranch is a small hobby farm in Kern County, CA that provides healthy, happy farm animals and farming products. We are on 20 acres and our land has been designed to keep a safe and natural environment for our farm family, which includes our exotic Painted Desert Hair sheep, our goats and some chickens. We take pride in the fact that we are known for our strict health policies regarding any of our breeding stock. Our goat herds, for example, have been tested and are cleared against having CL, CAE and JOHNES disease. Our sheep are free of CL and Scrapies.
Since we have some very serious natural predators that frequent our land up here (Black Bear, Coyotes, Mountain Lions, Bobcats and Eagles, etc.) we would be hard pressed to be able to achieve any of this without our valued Livestock Guardian Dogs AKA " the peace keepers." .... all of which are valiant protectors of all that dwell here.
